Hark hark, harkened he.

Yay! Back on the Internets! And quoting Ren & Stimpy!

I finally got a new laptop, not that I get to use the damn thing- Cheb hogs it all the time. But this week she's staying in Manhattan with my sister, so it's all mine baby. I miss my kid, but I can actually use my laptop and I can eat cold cereal for dinner so there's the trade-off I guess.

Know what I had for dinner tonight? A glass of wine and a handful of pretzels. Maybe tomorrow night I'll have a stick of gum and a jello shot. Thanks to a week between camp ending and school beginning, I get to cut loose and be rid of all parental duties. R rated movies and poor nutritional choices! Awooooooo!

What's been going on? The usual. Some silliness, some drama, some knitting. Had some weird flu-like thing, but that ended quickly. Some reading: just finished The Road by Cormac McCarthy and got very weirded out. Came across a Meg Swansen book at the library and I must knit her Phoenix cardigan but it may drive me insane. In a good way.

Speaking of insane: I can't get the song "Chocolate Rain" (youtube link) out of my head. I'm starting to like it. Yikes.

WOOT! Cut loose!

Don't new toys feel GREAT? I just got a new Wacom, never had one before and I'm already doodling like a 5 year old.

Oh, and I've seen that book with the Phoenix Cardigan. It's about the only thing I like in there, but *damn* does it make my fingers weep to imagine having to knit it. Maybe I'll just admire yours at Rhinebeck someday. ;)

My son was a way for two weeks so you can imagine what my dinners consisted of.

I'm not even gonna click on that link because I when I first heard it I had that song stuck in my head for 3 days straight.

Wow, dinner at your house! Glad to see you back on the internet!

Chocolate Rain...do you have to turn away to take a breath too? :)

There's a knitting show at 7:00 am called Knitty Gritty. I just found it. It's on HGTV. Is the knitting community aware of this show?

Welcome to the internets! Hope to visit brooklyn soon to check out me old stomping grounds on Jefferson and Sty, Plaza and Butler, and someplace over in east flatbush that I can't remember the address. I want to take pictures before they are all torn down for stadiums...

What's the title of the book with the Phoenix Cardigan? I have posted a photo of you at the Harlem Knitter-que on my blog.

I love the kiddies, but I also love me and for that to happen they have to leave every now and again. As long as I know they are in good hands SEE YA!! Knitty Gritty - I am addicted. I watch it and DVR it on DIY Network. It has been on for a couple years now.
